6/15/20- Our in-house restaurant, Barelis by the Sea, is open for outdoor dining on our front porch. 

5/29/20- The Boardwalk in Spring Lake is open! The benches, however, have been removed to maintain social distancing. Be safe and enjoy a morning jog on the boardwalk! 

5/10/20- WE ARE OPEN! The parking ban in Spring Lake has been lifted, and we are open and operating for Memorial Day Weekend! 

5/10/20- Beach passes WILL NOT be available daily at the boardwalk. They must be bought online, from the township's website. The Grand Victorian will still have a stock of badges for our guests to use.

 We want you all to stay safe at home, but that makes it very difficult for us, a hotel that strives to create a home away from home, right now. As you have probably seen on social media, gift certificates have become a popular way to help out your favorite businesses. You can always call us, email us, or leave us a message should you want to purchase one, but right now ordering one online might be the best option.

Like many at home right now, we are itching to get out as soon as it is safe to travel again. With that in mind, and the promise of summer ahead, we are offering several specials to help you make that affordable, much needed getaway come true. We will be running our normal summer specials--The Summer Sizzler and the Third Floor Steal Deal-- in addition to some new, early-booking specials.

HOTEL PRECAUTIONS

First and foremost, we are following all guidelines laid down by the state of New Jersey and the Borough of Spring Lake in regards to how to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and keep both employees and future guests safe. You may find some of those guidelines at the top of this page, under the first section which contains COVID-19 updates. 

CHECK-IN PRECAUTIONS

When possible, all check-in procedures will be handled prior to the guests arrival-- payment will be taken the morning of the guest's arrival, unless requested otherwise by the guest, and all check-in information will be sent to our guests in advance, so they will be able to head directly upstairs to their rooms. Because of this, we will not allow check-ins before our 2pm check-in time. Beach badges will still be available prior to that time, however. 

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS

Within our own building, common areas are disinfected daily, with special attention paid to disinfecting areas frequently touched, such as door knobs, door handles, countertops, and railings. Our rooms are, of course, held to the same stringent cleanliness standards as always, and we have placed an additional emphasis on disinfecting and sanitizing. 

PLEASE BE AWARE-- WE ARE USING PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN BLEACH TO SANITIZE OUR ROOMS. IF YOU HAVE A BLEACH ALLERGY PLEASE REACH OUT TO US PRIOR TO BOOKING. 

Our office is kept locked, even when staff are present, to maintain a safe environment for our staff, and to prevent any outside contamination in the office. As such, we ask that if a guest has a question, or a request, they call the front desk directly, instead of coming into the office to speak with a representative.

In order to minimize interaction with guests, we are now adding the Beach Badge Policy to our general Terms & Policies-- by booking with us, you recognize our right to charge $100 per beach badge, if lost by a guest. 

We are still abiding by our two week cancellation policy, as outlined in our policy page above. However, we are offering credit vouchers as opposed to outright holding on to deposits, which may be applied to a future stay. It may also be possible to move reservations to a later date. Please reach out to Hotel staff for assistance, or for guidance regarding any questions you may have.




BARELIS BY THE SEA

Our in-house restaurant, Barelis by the Sea, is open for outdoor dining on our wraparound front porch! 

Barelis by the Sea, while occupying a portion of our building, is a separate entity, and follows its own special, though similar, safety protocols at this time. These protocols include the staff's wearing of both gloves and face masks, and also the disinfecting of commonly touched items, such as pens, door handles, and railings.
